Exciting and Upheaval are both defining themes of 2025. New beginnings are always proceeded by some kind of ending that is challenging. Personally 2025 can be a year of possibilities, opportunities, and inner empowerment. These transformational times make it imperative to take our spiritual practice to the next level. As we enhance our own well-being, we contribute to the well-being of humanity. Our personal work is not only a physical maintenance program. It is not just about what we do. It is who we are and who we are becoming in the world.
A Time of Profound Change
2025 continues to greet us with major planetary energy shifts that impact us to the core. Four major players change signs (Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune, and Uranus). Three planets change direction (Uranus, Jupiter, Saturn). A steady stream of catalyzing planetary alignments keeps us wondering what is happening. All the activity demands flexibility, adaptation, innovation, surrender, and prayer.
In this blog we look at 1) the overall context of Pluto in Aquarius and (2) the powerful influence of Pisces for setting the tone for 2025.
Pluto in Aquarius – The Wrecking Ball
Pluto moved from Capricorn to Aquarius for 20 years on November 19, 2024. Pluto catalyzes change by exposing what is false, fake, untenable, and unjust. Pluto has a copious repertoire to work with!
Aquarius (and Uranus) represent what is unconventional and independent. This eccentric, anarchic energy can shake things up, be a wrecking ball, and even an outlaw. Shaking things up is part of the process of moving on and creating something new. But the human response does not need to be revengeful or cruel. The end goal of the Pluto process is to lead us to our heart. And as discussed in many previous blogs, Aquarius needs its polarity pair Leo to keep us aligned with our heart.
The Aquarian formula for innovation incorporates an interesting duality.
- It demands more freedom, and at the same time, needs a greater sense of community and belonging.
- Aquarius searches for both its individual uniqueness and interconnectedness with others — unity in diversity.
- Aquarius needs to break free from herd mentality, and also to find commonality in a community with shared values. Aquarius makes connections to create a better future together. All these themes are playing out.
Year of the Snake
January 30 we entered the Chinese Year of the Wood Yin Snake, which fits right in to the Aquarian agenda. The flexible snake sheds what it doesn’t need anymore. It has an intuitive knowing of deeper truths that guide its on-going transformational path. The wood element is about spring, inner strength, and innovation. Yin energy is receptive, introspective, and adaptable.
Think and Create Outside the Box
The pivotal Aquarian (and Snake) inquiry asks us to consider these questions
- Can we step out of our own ideological, ethnocentric perspective?
- Can we let go of our accepted way of thinking and see other points of view?
- Can we actually think differently and see and do things outside the norm and the status quo?
This is where our spiritual practice can help us. An awakened third eye gives us the capacity of neutral observation (without judgment or analytical commentary.) When we simply observe, refrain from reacting, and don’t attach to specific outcomes, we can attain and maintain an empowered state of internal harmony. The great news is that a peaceful inner state makes us more available to recognize and attract opportunities. And our mind can be a vessel for unique ideas and unorthodox (and workable) solutions.
Pivotal Dates
January 11 – Lunar Nodes enter Pisces/Virgo.
The North and South Nodes moved from the Aries/Libra axis to the Pisces/Virgo axis, for 18 months, until July 26, 2026.(The Lunar Nodes move backwards through the zodiac.)
January 30 – Uranus Went Direct
Uranus in Taurus went direct after being retrograde since September 1. Uranus presents us with quantum leaps and shocks and surprises. Its forward movement can bring realizations and break throughs that transcend convention. We may be more willing to explore alternatives, see new options, welcome new approaches, and find innovative solutions.
February 4 – Jupiter Went Direct at 11° Gemini
Jupiter is about expansion, and how we gain perspective, understanding, and form beliefs about reality. Jupiter in Gemini opens our mind, stimulates our curiosity, and helps us see that there are many truths, approaches, and perspectives.
Jupiter going direct in Gemini can broadcast and make known new information that can bring clarity to muddled situations. We may witness some major announcements that define where we stand. There may be new rules that set the context for something new. We may or may not like this information and the consequences.
February 4 – March 26 — Venus Enters Aries
Venus is in Aries February 4 – March 26. Venus was in Pisces January 2 to February 3. Because Venus goes retrograde, it will return to Pisces March 27 to April 30. It will spend twice as long in Pisces from 30 to 66 days. Pay attention to how your feel when Venus shifts between Aries and Pisces.
February 14 – March 3 — Mercury Enters Pisces
Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Mercury in Pisces opens our hearts and speaks with compassion, instead of cold objectivity.
Mars (in Cancer and Leo) is Retrograde until Feb 24
We may have mixed feelings while Mars is retrograde. We may feel both energized and stuck, yet slowing down can be a relief. Revisiting and analyzing the past can be useful, but also get tedious. Retrogrades don’t have to be all about review, revamp, and wait. We can use this time to connect with our passion and creativity. When Mars goes direct February 24, we may not yet have all the information we need, but we will feel that it is time to move forward. In the mean time “You will catch up, if you slow down.”
The Pisces Planetary Line Up
Note — Below I have outlined the functions of the major planetary players and given the dates that they are active in Pisces. Pisces energy is nebulous, ungrounded, and spacey. So if you get confused, you are not alone. Just focus on my general discussion of the impact of what is happening and how it relates to your personal life. You will probably find ideas that confirm what you are already feeling and experiencing. (Also refer to my previous blog ‘A New Era – 2025)
The Pisces line up is super active until Neptune and Saturn conjunct (within one degree) Aires May 25.
Venus in Pisces — January 2 to February 3. Because Venus goes retrograde, it will return to Pisces March 27 to April 30.
Venus represents what we value and what brings us peace, pleasure, and harmony. Venus wants us to discover and enjoy what brings us into a state of relaxation and well-being.
Sun in Pisces — February 19 – March 20
The Sun represents our heart, our essence energy, and how we shine.
Neptune enters Aries March 30. Neptune has been in Pisces since 2012. Since Neptune spends approximately 13 years in a sign, a change in signs heralds a BIG shift that impacts both our personal lives and society as a whole.
Neptune moving into Aries, starts a new 165-year cycle around the zodiac. Neptune will stay in Aries for 13 years, until 2038. Neptune (and Pisces) represent unconditional love, altruism, grace, forgiveness, and our inherent divinity, inter-connectedness, and oneness. In Aries, Neptune is bold, visionary and innovative.
Saturn is in Pisces through May 25 when it Enters Aries and Joins Neptune
Saturn and Neptune will spend several months together in the early degrees of Aries, until September 1, when Saturn retrogrades back into Pisces. The exact conjunction of Saturn and Neptune is in 2026, however, their closeness in Aries begins to activate Aries’ themes.
On Valentines Day February 14, 2026 Saturn and Pisces meet exactly at 0 degrees Aries!
Saturn represents the laws of physical reality that we must adhere to in order to manifest on Planet Earth. Saturn gives form to ideas, a tangible framework to our goals, and grounds us in our bodies.
North Node in Pisces— January 11, 2025 – July 26, 2026.
The North and South Nodes indicate our shared collective focus and thus apply to everyone. When the Lunar Nodes change signs, we are at a crossroads, both personally and collectively. We must choose a new direction and change course. There is a different more effective way to move forward. For the next 18 months Pisces leads the way into uncharted territory. We have a new path to follow.
June 9 – Jupiter Enters Cancer for 13 months.
July 7 – Uranus Enters Gemini for six years.
The Pisces Influence
How do we react and interact with the cosmic energies? Who are the current players commanding the sky? Venus, Neptune, the Lunar Nodes, and Saturn are all in Pisces territory, each in their own way influencing our lives.
Below I discuss the themes that are relevant as the planets and the North Node interact. The exact dates are markers, but their influence impacts us for the next year and half.
February 1 — Venus, Neptune, and the North Node met at 28° Pisces
February 7 – Neptune and the North Node align at 28° Pisces
Neptune joins North Node exactly on February 7. They align within 1° from January 26-February 22.
Saturn is moving forward and catching up. Saturn’s influence is already palpable.
Elusive and Invisible – Pisces, Neptune, and the North Node
Neptune’s and Pisces’ territory is the vast universe and beyond. It includes what we imagine, our dreams, and our illusions. It also includes the magic and miracles that bring the comic forces into life in physical reality. Whether we view inexplicable occurrences as serendipity, good luck, divine grace, or miracles, something is going on at every moment that we can notice. We don’t need an explanation, just the willingness to enjoy the never-ending wonders of life. We don’t need proof. We only need to be present.
Both the North Node and Neptune are elusive. Whether we are aware of it or not, they are reshaping the world behind the scenes. Neptune silently implements deep, systemic transformation under the surface. Our brain is being rewired, the collective psyche is being reconfigured. There is a silent global resent happening. What is initially invisible will become more and more visible.
The North Node and Neptune are rearranging our collective reality. Of course how that plays out depends upon the consciousness, whims, and actions of those making decisions. The planets never set out a specific policy, just an overall agenda for profound change.
On a personal level, we can be pulled into uncharted territory, which is more aligned with our dreams and spiritual awakening.
Saturn Conjunct Neptune – (May 25 – September 1)
A new cycle is initiated when Saturn enters Aries May 25 and joins with Neptune at 1° Aries. They hover within 1° degree of each other through September 1. Neptune and Saturn are very different. It is their different approaches that make their partnership valuable. Neptune represents the intangible. Saturn represents the tangible. Neptune is the inexplicable magic that makes things happen.
Saturn can bring Pisces’ vision to life. Wise Saturn can explain what is hard to grasp. The combination brings clarity to what was fuzzy. It is easier to relate to what is more tangible and accessible. Their cosmic collaboration invites us to embrace dreams that we feel can be manifested into physical reality.
Neptune and Saturn join in a conjunction only once every 36 years. And they rarely meet together with the North Node. What dreams do you feel pulled pursue? What is your legacy vision? What do you want to do with the rest of our life? Plant your seeds with love and nourish them with gratitude. The cosmic forces are with you!
Neptune and Saturn in Pisces – Realistic Magic
The Neptune/Saturn partnership creates realistic magic. We see, feel, and witness the magic in physical form, in everyday life. When we witness the magic, it is real. We realize that reality is actually created by cosmic magic. This is the way the universe works. That is why we strive to align with the divine and surrender to what is beyond our control and understanding.
According to quantum physics, the observer influences reality. How we perceive and the nature of our consciousness shape how we experience the physical world. Not only are the boundaries between the non-physical and physical blurred, there are no boundaries. Only our limited perception creates the illusion of boundaries. From our eyes, the universe operates through a mysterious force we call God. And since we can’t see the non-physical forces, to acknowledge them and the underlying dynamic that creates all reality is enough to change how we live. We enter the magic and miracle zone.
Fate or Destiny
Fate is guaranteed. Destiny is earned by how and what we create and the choices we make.
Our participation is required to opt into the stream of destiny.
Patterns and Cycles
As the last phase in the zodiac cycle, Pisces has hindsight vision. In Pisces territory we see the repetition of patterns, mistakes, and struggles. We get in touch with a long-term loop of stories that keep reoccurring. We also observe that our attempts to escape from unresolved conflicts are never totally successful. They follow and stalk us where ever we go. They resurface in another form, but there is a continuity of themes. Unfinished business does not disappear. It may seem to temporarily dissolve into the cosmic ocean. But it will come back when a wave washes it ashore.
We can prolong the inevitable through avoidance, but we cannot escape the inevitable cycle to which our karma is embedded. Because energy cannot be destroyed, it simply hangs out on our unconscious. And the deeper it is embedded, the more power it has over us. This is fate.
The recurrence of our cyclical patterns feels like fate over which we have no control, but this is because the issue as not been acknowledged, addressed, and felt. The cause has not been understood. This pattern will no longer exert its power over us only when we
- allow it to surface in our consciousness,
- accept its existence,
- understand the original cause, and
- love ourselves for our bravery to face what is uncomfortable and painful.
North Node, Neptune and Saturn Conjunct
The Lunar Nodes represent karmic influences that continually repeat patterns until they are recognized and transformed. In backward sequence of the zodiac, the Lunar Nodes change every 18 months. Our birth nodes are active our whole lifetime.
The current nodal transits create the opportunity to heal karmic patterns as played out by the South Node and to create a new life story by embracing the uncharted territory of the North Node. We feel a strong pull from the North Node to bring our Neptune visions into Saturn physical reality, to materialize our elusive dreams into form.
We can be captivated by an unquenched drive to explore and understand deeper themes that control our lives. With the force of the North Node, we are not only curious to figure out why certain patterns control us, we are driven to find answers. We want to understand the cause, so we can release ourselves from the effects. It is this process that releases us from the stranglehold of the past. The North Node pulls us into the future.
The Big Questions
Why do I keep attracting the same kind of partners?
What is blocking my success in life?
Why can’t I manifest my dreams?
Why do I keep being distracted by what is no longer relevant?
Why do I feel like an disempowered victim?
Why does this keep happening to me?
The answers hold the keys to unleashing our potential, to actualizing our dreams, and to finding inner peace and joy. To find the answers, we have to become conscious of that which has been rumbling in our unconscious for a very long time.
- We have to face what we have ignored and avoided.
- We have to embrace new ways to find resolution, to heal, and to engage in life. Conventional approaches just skim the surface and keep us believing external experts and searching for outer solutions to internal dysfunctions.
- We have to become our own expert, which is possible only by listening to our heart and following the nudges from our soul.
Looking for proof does not connect us with our own truth. We have to discover the inner access route to our truth that is found in our heart. No one can offer us a step by step formula that is guaranteed to work, which the rational mind can hang on to. We have to feel the inexplicable pull of our soul that resonates as a deep knowing. And we have to believe, trust, and love it.
Venus in Pisces Conjunct Saturn
Venus conjunct Saturn in Pisces is a special 2025 bonus. Venus and Saturn usually join once a year, gifting us with a day or two of realistic pleasure. However, because Venus goes retrograde from March 1 to April 12, they will meet 3 times (January 18, April 7, and April 24). They hang out together (within 5°) for a whole month (March 30 to April 30).
Because Venus goes retrograde, it will spend twice as long in Pisces from 30 to 66 days. (January 2 to February 3 and March 27 to April 30.) Venus is in Aries from February 4 – March 26.
Venus in Pisces supports us to infuse whatever we do with more gratitude, appreciation, and love. In other words, to relax and enjoy our life and to savor simply being alive. Venus invites us to
- bless everyone we meet,
- embody and pray for peace,
- sing, dance, listen to our favorite music,
- take extra good care of our body,
- remember that we are not alone, and enjoy being with ourselves (our most precious gift),
- have fun being creative,
- give thanks for the blessings that are continually coming to us.
- When Venus and Saturn join we are encouraged to do a reality check on all of the above. Do a mini self-reflective check-in on (1) the degree to which you feel satisfied with your life, (2) your personal inner happiness, (3) self-love, and (4) trust in your higher self and a higher power. It is time to nurture every aspect of yourself and to enjoy your human incarnation as the embodiment of your soul.
Anchor Yourself to Your Truth
The world is changing fast. Humans are used to changing slowly (if at all). Resistance is a powerful human force that has been taken over by our survival instincts. We can learn to use this power to serve us, to find and attach to the anchor of our soul.
Awakening to a stable base within ourselves is exactly what is needed now to adapt to the evolutionary energies of the times.
It is easy to be scared and not know what to do. It is normal to be confused when what we have been taught no longer computes as the right strategy, or even true! It is common to feel desperate when the old formulas that once served us are obsolete.
We are each born at the right time and place for our soul to have the experiences it needs, to learn what it came here to learn, and to serve in the way we came to planet Earth to serve. Critical goals of the Aquarian Age are for each individual
- to experience our uniqueness,
- to find peace and pleasure in our own identity, and
- to use our creativity to make our unique contribution to the world. Now is the time for each of us to dedicate our human life to attaining these goals.
We can discover and anchor ourselves in the truth of our own being. Actually we are being supported by the cosmic energies to do exactly that! We each have our own blueprint, our own design, which when activated and made conscious releases our existential stress and delivers us to the magic and miracle zone of living in these challenging times.
Our practice is to build our inner anchor and allow it to guide us. We can learn to follow our heart and listen to the voice of our soul.
Our core evolutionary journey is within. Inner awareness skills will take us to where we need to go. Our heart will guide our process. We are encoded with our truth. When we deeply listen, we are guided. We can grow and mature into of our unique identity. We can find fulfillment and satisfaction every step of the way.
Different Stages
When we aren’t ready and when Mars is retrograde, we don’t have to come up with a business plan and well-defined goals and strategies. Don’t try to figure things out or force anything. Trust and choose love and your inspiration will come. Love yourself, your life, what you do, and who you serve. Our way forward may be invisible now, but it will make itself known. Now is the time to align with the Divine and connect with the invisible force that will reveal our next steps in divine timing.
We are all at different stages. There are times when our path is clear. There are also times when our path forward is invisible. In either case, it is our next step that is important. Trust and follow love. Love is invisible. Our job is to make it visible.
