An Epic New World
Neptune already began its new 165 year cycle through the zodiac on March 30. May 25 Saturn seals the deal. The end of an era is officially over when both Saturn and Neptune hit the reset button at the very beginning of new 360° zodiac cycle. This is the first time that this has happened in recorded history!
When both Neptune and Saturn cross the threshold at 0° Aries, so do we!
A Radically New Life
Neptune in Aries is already shaking things up and creating chaos. Saturn in Aries is going to make things real. (Maybe not real nice, because Saturn does not allow fantasies and wishful thinking.) We can’t pretend (or hope) anymore that we can go back to the way things were.
The good news is that we are being catapulted into a new world full of possibilities for a radically new life. Reality check — we are at a point of no return.
This month anchors in an historic new beginning. Here we are between two worlds. We are entering uncharted territory, where we will participate in creating a very different global future. The world is shifting in ways that we cannot yet imagine.
Historical Perspective
Saturn and Neptune meet every 37 years, marking the end of an era and the beginning of a new era, mindset, and paradigm. This confluence of Spirit, dreams, and visions (Neptune) and physical reality, resources, and institutions (Saturn) creates the energy for major shifts in political, economic, and social institutions. It also precipitates an awakening in the collective consciousness concerning the underlying issues that are demanding change. In Aries we have the desire to participate in making the necessary changes and inventing something new.
The last time Neptune and Saturn met at 0 degrees Aries was in 4361 BCE (the New Stone Age). That predates by more than a thousand years the earliest known civilizations like Egypt and Sumer.
The last time Saturn and Neptune met was in 1861 at 29° Pisces, which coincided with the start of the American Civil War — a time of conflict, opposing views on human rights, slavery, and morality and the breakdown and restructuring of political and economic structures.
Currently moral and political polarization have intensified as both Neptune and Saturn have been transiting 29 degrees Pisces. Pisces themes include dissolution, endings, collective confusion and grief, idealism and spiritual awakening.
Aries shifts our focus to renewal, new beginnings, motivation, courage, a pioneering spirit, rebirth, and enthusiasm for starting over. Aries activates both our will and willingness to take initiative and get involved in creating what has never been done before.
We are stepping into the unknown and are in the midst of a planetary shift in consciousness. The more we can shift our perception, attitude, and actions to align with oneness, unity, caring, and love, the better off we will be both personally and collectively.
May 12 – Scorpio Full Moon 22° – Structural Change
The Scorpio full moon marks the moment of no turning back. The dye has been cast. A choice has been made, either consciously or unconsciously. This is a critical moment to prepare for the future by letting go of the past.
Scorpio digs deep into the emotional core of our being, where we either allow or resist transformation. The planetary dynamic of this full moon highlights structural change. This is because it involves two planets (Saturn and Uranus) with very different approaches to the core issue of structural change. The full moon is trine Saturn at 28° Pisces and opposite Uranus at 26° Taurus.
Uranus wants us to break free from old structures and to create alternatives that are more equitable, inclusive, and fair. Saturn often clings to the past and resists change. However, when change is necessary, Saturn requires creating structures that are realistic. Together Uranus and Saturn show us what is no longer working and support us in changing the way we do things. If we resist, Uranus shakes us up and forces us to look at things differently.
Both personally and collectively, something (many things!) has/have run its/their course. We must recognize what is no longer viable and let go — finally! If we resist, change will happen anyway, but it will be more painful. If we allow change, things can fall into place in a more elegant and magical way.
Inner Change is the Foundation for Outer Change
Scorpio tells us that what we need first is to change is our inner world. We have to recognize programs, beliefs, inner conversations, and roles that are no longer relevant and self-sabotaging. When we can be honest with ourselves, recognize the reality of uncomfortable situations, and release our attachments to the way we want things to be, a whole new world of opportunities can present themselves.
The fuel for authentic transformation is our willingness to change. The universe can support us, when we allow evolution to take place without resistance. We have to jump into the unknown and trust our soul and the universe to support us.
Scorpio reveals what has been hidden. Scorpio’s power is to transmute, not suppress or resist. A major Scorpio challenge comes from being a fixed sign. Fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius) have a tenacity that works both for and against us. It is hard to let go, but when we dig deep into what and why we are holding on and find our truth, transformation can be lasting and real. And when Scorpio embraces its polarity pair Taurus, the relaxed Bull helps us find pleasure and peace in daily living. We find that what feeds our heart is what we always wanted.
Our ability to shift from the Scorpio underworld to Scorpio power will be easier now that Mars is distancing itself from Pluto and releasing us from the Mars/Pluto opposition that exposed conditioning that needed to be healed (active since October, 2024). Aries Fire Awakens Our Soul
Saturn retrogrades into Pisces from September 1 to February 12, 2026. Saturn returns back to Aries February 13, 2026, where it stays until April 12, 2028. We have 3 years to remake our lives from the inner foundation of our Soul.
During these last 3 and 1/2 months in Pisces, we can anchor in our spiritual maturity by letting go of any residue of victim programming and guilt and shame, and elevate our inner space to trust the Divine.
Although the Saturn-Neptune conjunction will not be exact until February 20, 2026, they will be within 2 degrees of each other until September 1. Fiery Aries adds more fuel to the already excessive, polarization, conflicts, and competing opinions.
To best use the Aries energy, we can choose to be authentic and honest with ourselves and to step out of the need to be right and win. The spiritual task of Aries is to engage in our individualization process and to connect with and enjoy our uniqueness. We can open our hearts to ourselves and fall in love with our special once in an eternity life.
These extraordinary times are creating an opening for exponential growth and unprecedented opportunities. We can embrace the intensity and realness of the moment, decide for ourselves to jump on the cosmic train, and follow our hearts.
